Brittany House Craft Projects
At Brittany House, our activities team has been organising fun and engaging craft afternoons for our residents. These sessions are often themed around significant community events, such as Pink Shirt Day, which promotes bullying prevention, and Mother’s Day. For Mother’s Day, our residents put their creativity to work, making special gifts for one another. These gifts included heartfelt homemade cards and beautifully decorated boxes of chocolates. The response to these thoughtful gestures was absolutely fantastic, with many residents expressing how much they appreciated the effort and care that went into the gifts.
Given the overwhelming positive feedback from the Mother’s Day crafts, we decided to extend this initiative to celebrate our residents' birthdays as well. Over the past few afternoons, our crafty and enthusiastic residents have been busy designing and creating gorgeous homemade birthday cards. These cards are set to be delivered to each resident on their birthday throughout the coming year. It’s a simple yet meaningful way to remind everyone that they are a valued part of the Brittany House family.
We’re thrilled to see the joy these birthday cards bring and to witness the sense of community and connection they foster among our residents. Seeing the smiles and hearing the words of gratitude from our residents truly warms our hearts. It’s these little moments of connection and care that make Brittany House a special place to live, and we look forward to continuing this lovely tradition for years to come.
